Soldiers Hear Cries Sounding Like A Rooster
From Under Building
While deployed overseas a U.S. Army Captain heard the tiny cries of an animal coming from under their building. It sounded a bit like a rooster but they knew it was a dog or maybe a cat. They tried their best to locate the animal but were unable to. The next morning they came back with some tools and people, committed to saving whatever was stuck under the building. As the team dug and wedged one of them through a small hole he found three tiny, scared, filthy puppies, one of them the smallest crying out like a rooster.
Captain Ray held the tiny crying pup in his hands and immediately fell in love with him. He named him Rooster because that’s what his cries sounded like.
The poor puppies were so tiny, eyes not even open, their mother must have abandoned them or was killed. The soldiers knew these pups did not have long to live so they reached out to the local shelter we work with, who cleaned and started bottle feeding these small pups. Slowly the pups began to open their eyes and in the 7 months since they were born, rooster has grown into a happy lovable puppy.
