Paws of War currently has over 200 service dogs in training who will go on to make a life-changing difference to U.S. Veterans and First Responders, and we are inviting you to join us in giving back to our heroes.
The benefits Service Dogs provide to Veterans and First responders are well documented. Dogs play an important role in supporting our heroes who are suffering from depression, and Post Traumatic Stress, and the unconditional love and companionship they offer helps reduce distressing symptoms, and aids with both emotional healing, and improving overall health.
Our program rescues shelter dogs and trains them to be service, support or companion animals for Servicemembers. Paws of War overseas the intensive hands-on training sessions at both our locations, and in homes to cultivate the important connection between the hero and their new service dog. The dogs pass into the care of their hero free of charge, with our ongoing support.
