Help reunite Safawi with her Hero
A homeless mother dog overseas suffered a brutal attack. She was stabbed several times and had both her ears cut off and miraculously, she survived without medical treatment. An even greater measure of her spirit is that she still trusted humans; she became family to U.S. soldiers deployed overseas and chose Army Specialist Stephan as her person.
Now, the gentle dog faces being left to fend for herself again in such a hostile environment, and desperate to get her out of harm's way, our hero reached out to us for help to get her best friend to safety.
We need your help to save her.
There are currently no provisions in the military for bringing rescued animals back with the unit, and knowing the burden and heartbreak leaving new family members behind has on our service members is the reason our War-Torn Pups and Cats program exists: to make sure no one is forced to be abandoned.
If Safawi is left overseas, who will feed and protect her in a place that has already caused her so much pain?
Together we can save this gentle girl and reunite her with Specialist Stephan where she will have a life of love and safety here in America.
