HELP GET LEEMA SAFELY TO AMERICA

Deployed in part of Africa where it is difficult for even humans to survive, American soldiers serving in the U.S. Army National Guard knew the odds were impossibly stacked against Leema when they found her without her mother as a tiny kitten. Alone, terrified, and starving, her frail little body was becoming weaker by the hour. Our heroes - who had stepped up to bring hope to people, knew they had to help her too and in a place where desperate animals lose their lives every day, they were Leema's only hope.

Now, even the most war-hardened of troops on base melt when Leema comes scampering by, and when she invites them to play, they stop and lay on the ground with her. The heroes Facetime their families and share their little friend with loved ones back home, but they know her future hangs in the balance. Leema bonded especially strongly with Specialist Fine who didn't expect to fall in love with a cat on deployment, but now is desperate to give her the safe future all animals should know, because leaving her behind is a death sentence.

As the soldiers cannot play any role in bringing an animal back from overseas while enlisted, they reached out to Paws of War for help through our War-Torn Pups and Cats program. Our team jumped into action and efforts to rescue Leema are underway, and it's a mission that will get her safely to America where she can live a happy life with Specialist Fine and his family. This of course comes with unavoidable costs, but with your compassionate support we can make it happen!
