Staff Sergeant Stapp is serving overseas, and he has rescued a beautiful cat named Skitty. He worked patiently with this cat to build its trust and developed a strong bond with her.

Staff Sergeant Stapp tells us their story.

"Skitty and I started our bond a few months ago after I gave her a packet of Tuna. It did take quite a bit of time for her to trust that I wasn't a bad guy. I was understanding and very patient with her, knowing that she probably had some bad encounters. At first, I couldn't get within 4ft of her. After about a week, I was able to slightly touch her as she walked by me, only on her terms and only on the back side. After about 3 weeks, I was able to fully pet her on her back. After around 3 months, I'm able to pet her back as she walks over to me and stands still or brushes by on something. She has a chair she loves being pet in now. We've come a long way, as she allows me to pet her head, face and chin now. She is a very sweet kitty, learning to trust more and more. If I had to leave her behind, I would feel terrible. Knowing she was not going to get the same kind of love and affection from anyone else who didn't have the patience to earn her trust. It may help that I give her some daily tuna. If I could get her back to the states to my home, she would never have to worry about food, water, or the attention she strives for again. Please help me get her home."

Let's make Staff Sergeant Stapp's dream come true and get Skitty to safety in the U.S.A.
